About this release

“AVALANCHE” was inspired by the feeling of having so much going on around you that everything starts to build up at once — the pressure, the ambition, the challenges and the determination to keep moving forward. I wanted the track to capture that unstoppable energy. An avalanche starts small but gathers momentum as it moves, and I see that as a reflection of my own journey as an artist. There have been different stages in my career, setbacks and moments where I’ve had to keep pushing, but each experience has added to the momentum. The song is about that feeling of being in motion and refusing to be held back. I wanted the production and delivery to feel energetic and powerful, while still allowing listeners to take their own meaning from the track. “AVALANCHE” fits perfectly into DAT IS IT VOL. 1 because the EP represents where I am creatively right now — confident, experimental and determined to keep building. The track is a reminder that once the momentum starts, you have to keep going.
