About this release
"African Sunshine" is the newest release from the "Believe Radio" LP by Atlanta-based producer/emcee Believe, featuring legendary vocalist Shirley Jones (The Jones Girls) and Poland's top Jazz ensemble "Omasta" Sonically, this record serves as a modern evolution of the classic Philadelphia International sound. The production bridges analog soul with a sweeping, era-defying vocal performance from Shirley. To elevate the arrangement, Believe enlisted rising Polish jazz ensemble Omasta to track live instrumentation, resulting in a kinetic, bass-heavy groove that captures the vibe of a modern "Nights Over Egypt."
