About this release

“The Come Up” is a reflection of the journey behind Chief GodSun—the setbacks, the sacrifices, the ambition, and the belief that there’s always another level to reach. It represents the mindset of someone who refuses to let where they started determine where they finish. For Chief GodSun, the come up isn’t just about money, fame, or recognition. It’s about purpose, faith, growth, independence, and creating something that lasts. The record captures that hunger—the feeling of knowing you’re destined for more while still being willing to put in the work to earn it. “The Come Up” is the soundtrack to the process. Not the victory lap—the climb.
