About this release

Nymrod Weener is a greasy cosmic rock opera, a genre-bending musical universe where absurdity, humor, and real human emotion collide. Nymrod is a misunderstood outsider: mocked as an idiot, surrounded by consumerism, corporate nonsense, loneliness, and the strange machinery of everyday life, yet somehow capable of seeing things everyone else overlooks. Beneath the hot dogs, gravy, aliens, trailer parks, and cosmic insanity is a story about isolation, curiosity, rebellion, and learning to embrace being different. Musically, the project has no real boundaries. Rock, punk, funk, hip-hop, psychedelic sounds, surf guitar, synths, saxophone, sound collage, and whatever else fits the moment all exist inside the same universe. The goal is for it to feel funny and completely ridiculous one moment, then unexpectedly sincere or profound the next. The album comes first. Rather than immediately trying to make a full movie, the plan is to release the music track by track while introducing the world through artwork, short videos, visual scenes, character moments, and pieces of the mythology. Each release gives people another piece of the puzzle and builds an audience around the universe. As the album develops, those songs and ideas will become the foundation for the Nymrod Weener film—a full cinematic story built around the music, with dialogue, sound design, visuals, and eventually a complete screenplay. The goal isn't just to release an album or make a movie. I am creating a universe.
